How To Add Audio to Email To Create Powerful Audio Emails

Learn how to add streaming audio to your email messages to increase your overall email convention and click through rates.

Adding web audio to your email is a simple multi-step process when you have the right tools to work with. Below I’ll detail what it takes to do the job. Then I’ll give you some real shortcuts to help you add web audio to your email in just minutes.

Step 1: Record the Audio. Record the audio in .WAV or .MP3 audio file format. These are common audio file formats that can later be converted for audio streaming on the Internet.

Step 2: Encode the Audio File. Convert the audio file to a format that can be streamed for email use.

Step 3: Find an Audio Host. Find a hosting service that will stream your web audio files using a web audio player for your emails.

Step 4: Create Web Audio Players. Once the web audio file has been encoded for streaming and then hosted, you’ll want to publish your web audio player buttons for use in your emails. Then your email readers will then have the ability to click on the audio player buttons to listen to your audios.

Now that you understand the basic components of creating and posting web audio to your emails, let me provide you some shortcuts that will save you time and money.

Step 1: Record the Audio.

Instead of editing the audio file on your desktop after recording, simply re-record the audio until you get it just the way you want it. Then give it a title and description before saving it.

This method is probably the most convenient way to record audio files. There are a couple of trade-offs though when using this audio recording method. 1) The audio quality is only as good as the quality of your Internet connection at the time of recording. 2) You may have to re-record the entire audio a number of times to get it just right since you can’t delete any portions of the audio that you have erred.

If editing the audio is important to you, consider the first method outlined above.

• Record Audio by Phone Recording. This is by far the easiest way to record audio files. Simply pick up the telephone and call into your DeskPing Voice Box service to record your audio.
